F1 was pretty cool again! But this year's events related to F1 is so HUGE. Seriously. I hope they've an even bigger event next year than F1 rocks! though that was already huge enough!

Anyway, went to the qualifying. sat at grandstand aka when the cars zoomed the fastest i couldn't even get a decent shot! Then my father went on the real race day itself too, he got pretty cool pictures of when Mark Webber crashed because he was at Turn 2 and that's exactly where Webber crashed!

And not to forget me, Pea's and Nat's lil' expedition which was really fun! :D

Then on the real race day i caught Backstreet Boys at Padang after the race. THEY WERE REALLY GOOD though half the time and and Xin Yii couldn't see them cause we were not exactly in the front. But got videos and on qualifying day of F1, i saw them for the first time before the Padang concert the next day and got pretty decent shots of them (:

Prelims are up soon! like less than a week. Busy studying studying studying. 28th aug is the submission date for art, shit and i've only done 1 1/2 boards outta 8 we need to do and ive no final comp. FML.

Anyway, here's a few videos. But then again, i swear my blog's so dead and i can't be bothered with it until after Os so whatevs.

I FINALLY RECEIVED MY ROLLING STONE MAG WITH ADAM ON THE FRONT COVER ALL THANKS TO THAT UK LADY FROM Adam's official site and Singapore's Adam Fansite
That lady was really really nice because:
1. it was totally FOC
2. she put it in a padded envelope
3. then in a nice folder to protect it
4. and even put hard cards in between to try her best to prevent it from getting damaged/dented during shipping

HOW NICE IS THAT?!?! WHERE CAN YOU EVEN FIND SUCHA PERSON NOWDAYS!

Let's rewind back a lil...

I got home from school after art, around 7pm. Was like walking home when i started to wonder when i will receive it since it's been close to a week. Then started to worry about what if it got lost in transit? Yes, stuff like that happened to me all the time, super suay.

So i just opened the door, and my maid told me there was a letter for me. I turned my head to the coffee table AND THERE IT WAS! LIKE A SUPER NICE BROWN ENVELOPE WAITING FOR ME TO OPEN IT! I SCREAMED MY HEAD OFF WHILE RIPPING THE ENVELOPE SEAL TO SHREDS IN MY EXCITEMENT before calling Nellyn, Nat, Pea. Haha. I'm sure you can imagine how bloody excited i was after like 1 whole friggin month of searching for it in places like Borders and Times only to hear them telling me
1. outta stock
2. stock haven't arrived
and finally decided to tell me the truth after so darn long:

I love the interview alot! Spent like a whole 1/2 hr staring at the pictures and reading it and seriously shocked by his honesty and candidness. Seriously a 'no filter' interview. It's quite cool how he was so honest and open about it!

Brought it to school the next day and asked Rachel to read it. Haha, i forced her to read cause she was kinda bored and i wanted to see her expression after showing her certain bits of the interview which i knew she would go "omg!" in shock and scream in horror at those pictures of him in his pre-Idol life. Haha, true enough she did which was totally close to epic.

So much happened.

1. The King of Pop has passed away. Seriously so sad. I can't believe it. I first read the news on Twitter. I saw like RIP MJ, etc it didn't really hit me, i thought someone's death anniversary then everyone commerating. Then i read more and more tweets, it just hit me. I WAS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED SPEECHLESS! Totally did not expect him to pass just like that! His life wasn't even that crazy, i thought like Amy Winehouse would pass first or something. So shocking. He was sucha talent, sucha pity, sucha waste. Plus people were looking forward to his comeback concert! But people actually speculated it could be due to that intense pressure to put up a good show and a high standard he set for himself that caused him his heart attack.

2. Me and Nat finally sent out letter over to Adam! YYYAAYYY! It was so exciting! I hope those photos will come back to us (: i really really want it signed and returned (:

3. BLG's new song, love drunk finally got uploaded onto their myspace. Go, give it a listen, tell me what you think! It's quite pop-ish though, with those shouts. chuch camp 09

YAY! Church camp was really fun (:
Going one day earlier down to Kuantan was nice. Had time to explore the hotel first. It was a nice hotel. Discovered this Malibu Pub place near the lobby which was really weird. At night, my sister, Vernon and I went down to the lobby to study while waiting for our parents to get back from buying stuff for chuch camp. the music blasted from the pub was pretty loud. 2 of us were tempted to go in. So after our parents got back, dumped out stuff in the rooms and headed in for like 5 seconds. That place is total trash. Omg. Seriously, i laughed like crazy after getting out. The only good point is that they had a billard table! The pub was playing like some bad techo remix of Halo and I'm Yours. OMG.

But the beach near it was awesome! The beach had a really really starry sky on the official first night of church camp. And the last too. Those were the best days for the nice starry sky. Quite sad i couldn't capture it with my camera.

Got to know the youths better by having cell group with them too. They're like all so super friendly and nice! Makes me feel less afraid to go up to youth and leave all my intermediate friends. The sermons on Revelations was good too, super enriching and enlightening, i didn't feel bored at all throughout the 5 sessions and the speaker was really good.

And this camp, i'm like super guai. I didn't even like crash anyone's room. Spent most of the nights going to the beach. Saw turtles, hermit crabs at the beach. Quite cute.

And on thurs when we had like about 5 hrs plus of free time, i rented a volleyball and a few of us went down to the beach to play. It was seriously fun! Never in my life had i played volleyball for like 4hrs plus straigh before. My hand hurt like mad after that, slightly swollen but it was fun.

Overall, i think this camp was fun and good! Did i mention like on the first day, my sister, Kim, Vernon and i were gving out the nametags and booklets. It was so chaotic. At first it was just a few cars and we just try to get the hang of it. We were all thinking like 'once the buses come we confirm ddiiee' cause we were already struggling with a few cars and people. We worked out a system though, made it easier. When Brit came she helped out too. When the buses came it was seriously crazy, but after we passed out all the tags and booklets, it seriously was like a sense of satisfaction kinda feeling!

Anyway here are a few pictures here and there. Will talk more about the camp with each picture. But most of the time my cam stayed in the hotel and there was like condensation on my lens when i took it out for the campfire outta my hotel room. Scared me half to death when i saw through the viewfinder that everything was so ultra foggy!

Due to the change in wind, one lantern had actually burnt and caught fire in the leaves of the forest. So we had to stop the lighting of lanterns up in the sky and burn in the campfire. Heartpain :( Cause we all spent so much time on it. Rahh.

On the last night, we went to the recreation room with the mini arcade, billard table, caram(sp?) which leads to the gym as well and played caram(sp?) and tooks pics! YAY. Put my cam to good use

So we had some fun in the make-shift dark room which was kinda like my area in the art room cause i used that the most and played around with the fisheye lens before i had to return it, which i was pretty unwilling too cause it's such an awesome lens! and Delane's colour flash.

Sigh, I'm outta the squad.
Mixed feelings about it. I mean of course I feel sad, made friends there, learnt so much stuff there. But there's a feeling of something lifted off my shoulder. Not aburden but like just some tiny feeling of relief. To be frank, I knew I was gonna be out soon. Intuition. I just thought you give me a chance to prove myself, guess I was wrong.

Sam, I know it was hard for you to tell me that. Could hear it from your voice. I don't blame you, I wouldn't be bold enough to do that if I were you.

G, I can't thank you enough for even giving me this opportunity to improve myself. Guess you saw that want in me to join the squad from the way I was shaking badly during the audition. You were the only trainer who could control us, all these crazy kids from my school. I only have admiration for you. You're one of the most knowlegable and wise people I've known since I was born. The way you carried yourself, knew almost everything about everything, wanted to create a squad called TEDS and help people like us who have a passion in drama and for us to put it down to good use. When I knew the store was gonna be near my place, trust me, I was really excited, knowing all the possibilities that could happen since travelling time was not a factor any longer. I only wished you had given me time to show it after my exams. I know many a times I was on the chopping block. You've made that known to me, too close I know. But I mean, I've contributed to the squad as well. Maybe not as much as you would have expected but more than some others there, honestly speaking. Oh well, what can be done now huh. if only you could read my mind.

Yan, I know I don't talk to you much but you're such a wonderful person. It's like you're always there, always around. All the best with Veronica!

Ryan, I know you'll definitely not read this but I'll always remember you as the person who push me to my limits for percussion. You made me improve my single strokes on the snare, and especially your 'rat shit in porridge' quote. Crude but inspiring.

Shijun, omg, what else can I say? You're extremely sweet and I'll never forget the ring you and Nat gave me. Although everyone always made fun of you and your China accent etc, you're really a great person. No, I'm not lying. It's just the quiet support you give that's really awesome.

PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR

OMG VAUNT IV WAS SERIOUSLY AWESOME STUFF!

Went with Delane, Sheralyn and Eunice and met Cheryl at the train station. So we walked over to St James and got semi lost till Cheryl's friend, Jevon helped us. So we found the VIP queue from the entrance of Bar None and they took so freaking long to open the doors. Doors only opened at like 950 plus when it was suppose to open at 9.

Delane and Sheralyn managed to get in successfully and we headed over to St James Powerhouse. Seriously, the place was cool shit. The disco ball reflected so much light from everywhere it was awesome!

Took a table and waited for the fashion show to start which took a seriously long time. While checking out the club before the show, Jervon and his group of friends actually found the reserved table that I had with my friends thanks to being VIP. Courtesy of Vernon.

Actually the fashion show was quite boring. I would say the fun only started when the DJ started spinning R&B tracks. DID I MENTION THAT ST JAMES SPINS THE MOST AWESOME TRACKS? They played like PCD, Akon, Kanye West, Fergie, Neyo, Flo-Rida, Justin Timbelake just to name a few.

Dumped all our stuff in the locker and started moshing and walked around the club dancing. Wanted so badly to get on the raised dancefloor but it was packed to the max.so we just danced on the floor with like so many other people.

Eunice and Sheralyn kept complaining that dunno who grinding them blah blah, so loser. Keep kana-ing. The best songs they played which I enjoyed alot was the all time fav Low and In The Ayer by Flo-Rida. It was sooo super fun especially when the lyrics went 'shorty got low low low low' everyone went down and 'throw your hands up in the ayer, ay ayer' everyone sang and put their hands up. Seriously fun.

So now my view of St James totally changed 180degrees. You might think that the people there are like compete asses cause they are like teens who give no shit about others but I was quite wrong. Although there was pushing here and there which was inevitable and loads of people stepping on my toes, people there are relatively polite with their sorrys and all. Though 90% of the people there smelt like smoke but luckily it wasn't too bad. I just treated it like some bad cologne.

Overall, I enjoyed it like mad. Stayed till the event ended at 4am, had like an hr plus of sleep before headin to school for lessons in the morning 8am. I wanna go back to St James man! Gonna keepan eye out for such underaged parties again. Butter factory has one coming up on the 16th but I'm away :( plus it's like dress code: school u! no way man!

This totally made my day. I came back from school, got on my touch and SAW THHIISS! Omg, totally acted like a happy idiot (: (Rachel, i gotta thank you for writing that comment!)
Then was at the Expo Popular sale a few days back and saw this, I WANT THIS MAN! It's the biggest Bible i've ever seen and it's hhuuuggee! Very interesting

And i saw the whole Twilight series except Breaking Dawn in chinese! Whadaya think of that!

I'm actually considering buying this to improve my chinese. Won't it be interesting to read Twilight in Chinese?

And this is my half done painting of my picture i took for my O level Art. I seriously love the top bit of it. The sides need more layering of colours, not dramatic enough. It's currently like 40+% complete and i spent abt 3hrs on this. But hey! This is coming from a girl who can't even paint properly or draw for nuts!

Oh and i can't wait to go for Vaunt IV this Sunday! So exciting. I'm on the VIP list (;

TEDS training

For once i'm not gonna blog about anything Adam/Idol related.

It felt so good to be back at West Coast again. It's gonna be quite some time before i can go back there again. Anyway, intensive stretching was painful but quite satisfying. At least i knew i was exercising and sweating it out again. Have not done that in how long man!

So now my muscles are aching like crazy now. I bet it's gonna take a week to get rid off or something. It's like if i sit down for too long and suddenly start standing and walking, i walk like a complete idiot. It's like i'm totally imbalanced or something, i need to hold on to something to even walk. Then when i stand for too long and wanna sit down, it can totally kill me.

My legs esp the thigh muscles and the area where i stretched for my arms, where the 'wings' are suppose to be on a dancer's body hurts. But at least i know i stretched properly now right?

Headed to store like an hour after 9am cause it seriously looked like it was gonna rain big time. Perriot 2 seems so awesome! I wish i could be part of it but commitment's sucha big issue :( But the only way i can think of is being FOH. Doesn't require much commitment and i can get involved in Pierrot 2 as well since i missed Pierrot already. But don't get me wrong, i'm not thinking of wanting to be FOH to take the easier way out. I can totally imagine how Pierrot 2 will be like. It'll be so awesome i'm gonna see it no matter what!

I've a confession to make. Deep down in my heart somewhere i yearn to perform/sing to a crowd that adores me. Seriously, who doesn't ever dream about that? (If you say no i swear you're lying). Think about it, think about your favourite singer/actor. Don't you ever wonder how they feel, say singing to a crowd that wants every piece of them, sings their songs and backs them up when they somehow get so into the music they even forget the lyrics at times? Gives a standing ovation to you after a kickass performance at some cool theatre?

I always wonder how BLG feels after touring and have tons of people wanting their stuff signed, or how Adam felt when he saw his names on Katy Perry's cape.
"he almost fell off his chair" was what one article said.

Here's my totally unrealistic dream: Somehow get killa vocals, fly myself to America, enter myself in the next American Idol, land myself in the top 2 positions and let my career kick off from the end of that competition.
Fine, maybe my recent obsession with AI has left me with ridiculous thoughts. But no, i'm not kiddin' about my first para.

Anyway, back to the real and serious blogging.
Went for TEDS like a few metres away from my house yesterday, glad to see all of them again.

And i'm still reading up write ups on AI even though it ended like how many days ago! I still feel Adam deserves it more. Simon seemed a tad upset when he didn't stand up to clap for Kris while the rest of the judges did. So now Adam's like Archuleta in season 7. He will make it big that i'm definitely sure. I guess America just prefered Kris to be the Idol.

Anyway the finale was good stuff. So much good music. They let Adam sing with Kiss which was really awesome. Totally showed off Adam's rockstar qualities. Nice to see Mraz and Black Eyed Peas. Cyndi Lauper looked s different from the last time i saw her at Singfest. Maybe cause she has long hair now. The best for me was their last performance. FOX GOT QUEEN TO PERFORM! WITH ADAM AND KRIS. IT WAS SO AWESOME. It's like my favs altogther.

Today's finals was good stuff. I shall be as unbiased as i can be and talk about their songs.

Adam: Mad World is by far the most wonderful performance i've seen from Adam cause it's so raw. But then somehow i like his first performance of Mad World than today's cause i think he's toning down on his screaming which i wish he hadn't cause it's his style. Rockstars have haters too. Mick Jagger and Lep Zepplin were all eccentric.
Kris: His song was good. Reminds me of his Heartless. After watching his performance, i thought Adam was dead meat

But i really think Kris improved alot. I dont feel that secure about Adam winning the title cause i think with every performance, Kris is improving. But it all depends. Their personalities are the direct opposite. But both of them will definitely make it into the industry. Plus reading Life!'s article on them being friends, pledging to support each other's music all the way(they've been roomates since day 1 in idol mansion) and they just wanna put up a good show is quite sweet.

Simon says Adam will win and he shall

Adam Lambert! Omg. HE.IS.AWESOME.
His voice is crazy, vocal range is insane and he's an actor as well. Totally reminds me of Mig, killer vocals and is in musicals. He was recently casted in Wicked but if he wins Idol, won't he be tied down by a contract and not able to perform in Wicked?

But even if he doesn't win for some reason, he'll definitely get a record. I dont think American Idol ever had sucha contestant before. Though people might find him too scream-ish, at least he can pitch himself well and pull off hard songs like some crazy Mick Jagger song or Led Zepplin. That's what i call power.
Go listen to his rendition of Mad World by Gary Jules if i'm not wrong. So friggin nice!

I've 4 more papers to shoot down before i'm a free human being. I'm already planning for my after exam celebration. It so happens that Angels and Demons, the movie that i've been anticipating and looking forward to for so long is released! AKA I'M WATCHING IT ON THE DAY OF RELEASE! Pretty excited then i'll go to vivo and shop shop then go PS play shoot shoot. Omg so exciting! Then Friday's Guitar Hero World Tour day at Huilin's place after school. School'll be pretty interesting too cause there's talks going on. I'm going for the film and media talk and the talk on ACJC cause there's only NYJC and ACJC to choose from. Then Saturday i made a deal that i could go store after TEDS or where ever with TEDS all the way till late late.

A THOUSAND CRANES

SYF's finally over! I think we actually didn't do too bad a job. Some people feedbacked to us that it was rather touching. The only major fugly obvious mistake was when the ~~smart~~ actors placed the boxes slighly off, resulting in actors in darkness 1/2 the time. But thank goodness the light ppl saved the day by improvising and turning on another light.

Barker is so BIG and their food is so nice! What sister-brother school?! All nonsense.

Though i think the best thing was when the few of us met G, Yan, Sam, Habibah, Audrey, Nicole etc. It was really good to see them again. Jackie met them and i'm so happy she did (: The most hilarious was when i spotted the truck entering Barker, we all ran to the sides and said hi super loudly. The teachers heard, they saw and i heard a lil of what they were saying. It was rather hilarious. Then, in the holding room, the teachers had no choice but met G. One of the teacher's expression just when she entered and holding room and realised G was there was absolutely priceless. Wish i had captured that shot.

Anyway, i realised i haven't been posting up pictures for quite a while. These were taken at Clarke Quay last Wed, just before Craig David's gig (i didn't go for it though :( it was at Zirca. CLUB RULES APPLY. argh!) with art in mind but i've changed my idea and i really like it now. It has like photogaphy+theatre/stage elements in it!

Am I stressed? I don't even know the answer to that. Though recently I've been eating alot, like a plate of rice with stuff with it, then a bowl of laksa followed by biscuits etc. That's not my normal. All my friends were so shocked they conclude that I'm pretty much stressed up. Though I really don't know the answer myself. But people go on food binges when they're stressed right? Omg.

But lately school + syf + studying for MYE really do not go well together.Everyday it's like school, study during recess, cca practices, come home, bathe, have dinner, study, do a lil com then sleep. Adding in tuitions for variety of my day's schedule at times.

And my so 'smart' school is actually planning to put up a concert to showcase all the syf performances 4 days before my MYE. How intelligent

I do not understand how Sec 4s can cope with this and make it through the year without dying of exhaustion.
Ps: to all who have survived their sec 4 year, please tell me how you did it

Oh and I just got news that I've yet another tech run this Thursday and I'm gonna miss my a math tuition cause of it. Total last minute crap just cause the trainers are incapable of completing it within the 2 hrs. WTF

WWRY 1st Anniversary

Wow. ONE YEAR. One year passed so fast. Since the time i first saw WWRY in 08. Time passes so fast.

It was the first time i saw Mig on stage
It was the first time i realised there was such a wonderful and awesome artist around on this planet with so much stage presence
It was the first time i heard Queen's music live and liked it
It was the first time i enjoyed myself so much watching a musical

Gosh, i really miss the musical.

WE WILL ROCK YOU the musical by queen 5/4/08

Just came back from the We Will Rock You musical at the Esplanade. At first i thought it would be as boring as that Eric Clapton concert but this one totally SHOCKED, SURPRISED me not because it's THAT bad. Instead, it's damn darn bloody friggin' good! Everything was damn nice though at time the cast sang so loud that you'll think you're gonna go deaf. But i still think it's a damn good musical, it's like a kinda broadway thing cause of the way they incorperated the songs by Queen.

This rock musical is a futurist adventure set in the yr 2350, a time where live music is banned on earth but kids are in rebellion, fighting against the all powereful Globalsoft Corporation which controls their lives and feeds them a diet of synthesized pop. It's like a tribute to Queen.

At the last part after the interval, they showed the band who played the music throughout the whole 2hr 30 mins musical. There were 2 drummers! And obviously 2 drumsets as well. As they were playing and singing 'we will rock you', the drummers drummed and spun sticks! So pro. And the guitar solo was nice too (:

The jokes said were also damn funny. They managed to relate to the entire audience. Us, being Singaporeans , they mention Phua Chu Kang, which immediately connected to the crowd. they talked and joked about Madonna and especially Victoria Beckham which was damn hilarious. And you know that Lord Of The Rings creature, i think it's name is smiggles(sp?), that one who always wanna steal the ring and always say 'my precious'? They included that too! Super hilarious. And HuiLin, i'm sorry to say this and you might hate me for this but i think this musical was even better than Maroon 5's one though i didn't go for it.

At the end, the audience gave a standing ovation. Like WOW. SEE! it's really damn good. All in all, you should really go watch it. Ends on the 27th April. Given a choice, i would really wish to watch it again (:

Soccer/TEDS

WEDNESDAY
Playing soccer again was so fun! We got first, followed by Tricia's group. It totally brought back the many memories from sec 1 cause we played soccer so much especially during our free periods.
I remembered I actually hated soccer. Because of the world cup then, Clara all started to play. I just watched them at the side but slowly tried it out and it was pretty fun. It was tiring but good for training your stamina.

But the only thing I'm sad about is that while playing against Tricia's group, I kinda semi collided into brenda and my watch sort of snapped. So now I've to restrihg it before I can wear it again. Boo.

Ps: Tricia, we must play soccer against each other some time again, it's really fun playing with guys (:

SATURDAY
Went to the store for TEDS. Painted the inside cyan blue. Then a few of us had to leave like after 1 1/2 hr. So pathetic.
I think the tech run at Barker was pretty screwed because we did not have enough time to do a full run and so now the teachers have to try find some other time to book the place again. Lousy.
Oh and since Queenstown's play is at Barker too I've a pretty good feeling we'll meet them. Pretty exciting. When I told Jackie she was so excited.

I don't understand how some people can just sit in a bus and stare at the old people who are looking for a space to sit. They look down, look everywhere but not at them only cause they are guilty. what happened to being considerate man?! The world's definitely changing but only for the worst. So gross.

Winter's tale was not bad though half the time i did not know what they were talking about. Ethene Hawk's character reminded me of a mixture of Jack Sparrow and Pirelli from Sweeney Todd. Met Rebecca Hall (: and a few other cast members at the stagedoor. Quite sad didn't meet Ethene Hawk though. He didn't come out. After the play they had this Q & A session for about 30 mins, quite nice to just hear questions thrown at them and they answering it. Met Grace and her friend, Joanne there too! Sport's Day's coming up! Seriously! i'm pretty much pumped up about this! All the effort for the choreography and putting together of the dance, all the effort put into the cheers, house meetings, buying and preparing for this very Friday! And i think there's hope for Lee this year! Quite high %tage.

Was looking through the old props in the Lee box kept in the PE store today with Pea. There are like records of old cheers, old records and messages from teachers. Quite old number tags were there too. Found out that the previous time Lee won in our school was like in '98. Omg, 10 years of losing! Argh, i shall try to set a record this time though i know it's like 99.9% impossible.

Today's Rafi's birthday! Drums will officially end this Sat. Freak, i'm damn sad.

Oh ld's screwed. Tomorrow's mini SYF and we're not prepared one bit. Seriously, we're all dead. SYF's on the 14th April, cast still not giving their all, we're unable to practice in the concert hall for who knows what retarded reason the school refuses to let us use.

Lee house dance seems pretty cool, i hope it'll work out fine next Friday for Sport's day! I'm pretty excited about it. Some people have seen the dance and they say it's pretty cool so i hope it'll be able to help us get more points for our house. After all, we're not last from what i know of as of today.

Saw Rafi play in his band today. It was pretty cool, at the Mosaic fest. I think they must be really good to be able to play at this fest cause like most acts are from overseas. So Julia and i were there and there was this lady who started to ask us stuff. Julia did most of the talking

And like today, during SYF prac, Julia was working with some crew ppl to do up some props and they asked about G. So Julia was just telling them what happened and how foolish the teachers were and like they were all commenting that they totally wished he was still our trainer cause they liked the way he did stuff and all. And so i always end up wondering why the teachers made such a s-t-u-p-i-d decision.

Anyway, finally did a run during ld in the concert hall. It reminded me of White Horses, the stupid things me and Rachel would do on the stage playing around with shadows, when the TEDS people came over to help out, it was so fun.

Oh and i think i'm really really gonna miss drums alot alot alot. Just in the bus on the way to macs for lunch today, we were just talking about how sad it'll be to leave, so close to 3 years together learning from them. We've seen them transform their school, from Celviano to Acad of Rock, the whole atmosphere of the school changed. It's just so saddening, i think if i just think about not going to Acad of Rock anymore, not playing drums in the room lined with squishy fun foam to poke, not playing on Rafi's weird sounding drum set, i can totally cry which i kinda did in the bus when Julia and i were talking about it being so sad not seeing any Acad of Rock teacher anymore.

Omg it's like the last week of school till T1 ends. Time pass so fast, O level's getting closer by the day.

It's the last week yet i'm still so tied down with everything. Theory exam this Sat, not that i'm really nervous or anything, i'm more excited about going with Julia and Jackie for the Acad of Rock concert after my exam. I can't wait to see Rafi play, after that concert, it'll be like 3 lessons before we quit.

Highjump 6th place. pfff
2nd drop to 6th is so bad. Quite disappointed because this is my last year getting a prize for highjump but oh well. But then after clearing 110cm trying to clear 112cm i knew i was going to get out already. I had no motivation, no adrenaline rush which i usually get before jumping over the pole, no heart beating fast fast feeling, it was really scary. Suddenly, it felt like i just gave up. Passing 112cm was maybe by luck, then 115cm was where i got kicked out. Sigh.

Took videos, pictures, enjoyed his voice and he is so entertaining! Omg, he has really strong stage presence.

He was so funny when he asked the girls to repeat this part after him and he kept on going lower and lower till it was impossble for females to repeat. Then after that he asked the males to repeat after him and he went so super high. So funny and entertaining! And he danced, sang opera, threw polaroids, so entertaining. He totally defines how a concert should be like.

I also like how he interacts with the crowd even with those at the sides and at the balcony and and i especially like how he does not address the crowd as 'people' or 'fans' but friends. Really unique experience (:

All American Rejects Meet and Greet

AAR's meet and greet 28/2 was way more fun than their gig to me. Waited in line, met Mae and Nat, talked to Tyson for like a very short while before having my picture with them snapped, signed poster, you know, the usual meet and greet stuff.

It was all good, Nokia really knows how to organise a meet and greet. Normally M&Gs do not include the anyone-can-join-queue-to-meet-the-band like buying their album or something but this seriously had no strings attached. Plus above all that, the first 50 got the chance to take a picture with AAR and have it instantly printed. How cool is that!

Oh and it was such a last minute decision to go that i didn't have my camera with me :( so all i had was my phone cam

All American Rejects gig

Went for the All American Reject's gig at the Nokia Phone 5800 launch party on Friday. Went with Xinyi earlier and queued from around 7 plus. Waited for Pea and Eunice to cab down after CCA. Waited till 8 plus to get in. It was really exciting. Oh and before getting in, we saw a baby lizard go into the lady behind us's bag. We said nothing. Lol.

Then waited for the gig to start, some beatboxing going on before that, quite cool but i still like the one before BLG's gig during Nike Human Race. They played like about 5 songs for 20 mins only, disappointing but still had fun. Xinyi, Eunice and Pea all got picks. I almost got it expect for that a.hole who stepped on my bloody fingers just to get the pick. I was so pissed i just turned around and rolled my eyes at his friend. Argh. But doesn't matter, i would prefer a BLG pick. And AAR's pick is like hello kitty on one side! LOL.

Really good movie. My first legally watched nc 16 movie though I felt nothing nc about it. Caught it with a few church friends. The transitions of how this 18 year old explained how he could answer each question and eventually win 20 million rupees which is about 5 million sgd was really good.

The story of this 3 young children from the slums all the way till they become adults is so sweet. All their hardships, all the unfairness in their lives, dangers etc. And in all this, the climax and tension is crazy. when you thought it was gonna end up like that, it turned out to be the exact opposite.

Spoiler alert
Like how I thought the host had actually gave him the answer to the second last question to winning 20 million, but in fact the host had tricked him cause the host wanted to remain as the only one in history to have turned from rags to riches.
And how when I thought jamal's older brother salim had tricked his own brother and backstabbed him, he actually was protecting him from all the dangers. His brother had kinda sacrificed himself for jamal just when I thought salim was betraying his brother.
I think the best part of the movie was when the question to 20 million was related back to the very front part about the three musketeers. The story's so beautifully crafted into how this 3 young kids from the slums had grew up and survived the madness of the world especially in India where it's like some third world country with stealing and corruption so common. It's not like those stories based on love blah blah blah but just from the innocence of 3 young kids growing up into a world of madness and their parents also were gone when they were so young.

TEDS is exactly the reason why my Sats are so freaking fun and enjoyable and add in drum lesson after that. How awesome can my Sat get?

Anyway, today at West Coast was quite enriching. G was reading people's minds again in one was the 2 drama master classes we had. It's really scary shit how he can do that. I guess he read right through everyone's today and i think he actually hit the spot on what was on my mind and what keeps me together. I think if he could do this more often, all of us would really know who we are and everything that worries us etc. Oe perhaps it's just me wanting to know more about myself. How ironic.

He told us from the way a person wears a watch, shoes, it all tells about something of that person. He said that the reason why i liked wearing my watch was not only cause of the colour, it was a case of it being unique rather which i have to agree.

What do i long for? I would really like to know the answer.

Then we did basketball percussion. Actually i didn't do that. Me, Rachel and Hakim were whacking the life out of the poor huge plastic container thing. It was really freaking fun, just creating beats out of nothing. G joined in as well, we played for quite some time. We probably drowned out the sounds made by the basketball. Lol. Seriously, the whole percussion using sticks on containers thing really was so loud, even in the outdoors, i can feel the effect it had on my ear drums.

We also kinda ran away from rain. We could totally see the line of the rain approaching towards us cause it came from the sea's side. Nasri and Rachel were like so amazed like they never seen this kinda thing before. So lame. And i found out Nasri was another Nikon fan! Yay. Finally got someone to fight with me against Sam and Julia, stupid Canon users.

Shijun and Nat also surprised me today. Nat popped a ring into my palm, i didn't quite get it at first until Shijun told me it was Jack Sparrow's ring, no wonder it looked so familiar. Omg, thanks you both! Really, that gift is awesome stuff (:

Oh and i told myself i'll post about drums today. Shit, our days at Acad of Rock are numbered. Like only 4 more lessons! :( I'm bloody bloody sad, super sad. I'm gonna miss everything there, the people, the atmosphere, the enviroment. sigh.

Then today after lesson, outside where they had the mini stage they were playing Gun's & Roses's Sweet Child of Mine. 2 superb drummers, one awesome bassist and ultra good guitarist, put them together and the effect of that is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. The drums was freaking solid can! Then there was this bunch of like teenagers around 17, 18 years old. One look you know they're the type with emo hair, not the punkish type, plays electric guitar or bass type, then the girls with them all damn typical, well dressed up, make up and all. The guys were literally staring right into the school, haering the music so clearly. The only thing seperating them from one drummer was a piece of glass. It felt so good to be in that school at that time, with others admiring the the skills of the teachers, secretly hoping to wanna be like them.

i guess i'm just tired. Exams next week, omg, i hate even the thought of it

Today at west coast was fun as always. Ryan got an invitation to perform or something liddat at the Esplanade library. Danial's playing the piano while i'm playing the guit and a few singing. I'm quite scared i can't reach Ryan's expectations. I'll go prac really hard or something to be good at it, i love the Esplanade too much, my liking towards the Esplanade was thanks to WWRY. Damn, next month will be a year since i first met them. Time passes like some lightning bolt, there for a sec or 2 and gone forever after that. Shall do some 1st anniversary post on WWRY soon, i still miss the cast loads.

Learnt alot about what the school can or can't do which was pretty interesting on my way back home in the truck. Bea was asking questions, Rachel was really fascinated by her new found knowledge thanks to G and i was just listening while Rachel kept on saying she couldn't wait to tell her friend about the phone thing. But i felt quite bad actually, cause i mean like it was like i was getting a free ride home and like taking up a space in the truck when it was already pretty squeezy and my friends were getting squished up to go to the store to help while i was going to the store/home. Really, i felt quite bad.

I never liked this kinda owe ppl something feeling. As in like i feel mean/evil/guilty if say i go to my friend's place for dinner before tuition or like just go to their place and trouble them in some way or another though i know they don't mind cause i mean, they're my good friends but still, there's always that nagging i-feel-a-lil-guilty feeling. It's just the way i am, i guess.

About 1 1/2 weeks to 16! Yay. Finally i can officialy watch my first NC movie. But like as if i havent watched over that rating before.

It kinda sucks to have you birthday smack right in the middle of common tests week when people are so busy studying while you face 4 white walls, a thick stack of paper gathered together with prints/info on it aka textbook, thinking, 'wtf so this is how i celebrate my birthday'. Pff.

I WANT A SSUUURRRPPPRRRIIISSSEE. Boo. And no, i'm not hinting anything.

Yay. So today was the first time in West Coast for NYDS or should i say TEDS (Thespian Enterprise and Drama Squad).

Learning basketball percussion

The obstacle course was really fun. I mean, running is good but this is even more fun and somehow less tiring. When i was climbing on the net to go down i almost fell. My stupid leg got tangled in the stupid hole of the net, so annoying. Everything's good and different and the only thing i miss is the aircon at Scape. I just need to remind myself to bring my bottle with me everywhere or i'll just die of dehydration. Everyone was so thirsty from being under the sun. And talking about sun, i got sunburnt and only realised it while with Pea taking pictures for Art. My face, my hands my neck and feet. I didn't realise my hands were quite red until i took off my watch which i was wearing throughout the whole day. Omg, 2 shades on my arm.

And my feet was worst. It ain't sunburnt, just got darker. Like now i have 3 tones on the top of my foot cause of the flats i was wearing. Like look at your feet and divide it equally into thirds. The top third where your toes are is medium dark. The middle portion of my foot is the darkest. The last third of my foot is the lightest tone of all the three. Sigh, just when i thought that tan was gonna fade off.

Note to self: Apply sunblock before heading to West Coast.

But the only inconvinient thing about West Coast is the getting back home from West Coast bit. Me, Audrey and Julia were walking outta Macs to the opp bus stop where we alighted from and realised there was no 175! We had to walk out to the main road which was quite a far walk just to take the bus. Boo.

And i'm getting so busy this year it's crazy. i hate Sec 4 life, that's why i've been blogging so little and each time i blog there's no pictures and it's so short.

So much is happening in school and all around me. It's really making me so tired.

Now it's Wk 5, how fast when it's like last week i just started the vicious school cycle again. Sigh. Days are passing so fast, any moment it'll be O levels already then it'll be over.

Seriously, i feel so tired everyday. Sec 4 life is shit. Every day earliest i get to sleep is 1030 plus and not even on the weekends (not that i really mind) i get to sleep in till early noon plus. I just need my rest but i hate or don't even want to sacrifice anything.

I'm dreading even more and more with each passing week cause i have to stop drums when term 1 ends. I can't imagine not going to Novena, going to Acad of Rock, stepping into that room that 24/7 smells like Rafi's cologne, playing on the drums. Argh dammit.

Having won like 4x my capital in 21 aka blackjack and bearing in mind this had never happened before, you can stop wondering how's my CNY this year.

Today was the day i realised my relatives were pretty crude in a humourous way. Ate, laughed, talked, gambled, ate more. That's about it for my first day of CNY.

The school doesn't want us to even touched anything that has to do with gambling. When so and so said that to the whole school, you can totally hear the noise level in the hall shoot up like all the way to the top. It's not as if we'll get hooked onto it and keep on gambling. It's just like a CNY tradition like how giving ang baos is an tradition. Insane school.

I really miss last year's mission trip. Just made me realise this fact more after today's talk in church.

I can't imagine those who were at Agape who were so super attached to the kids, like how they'd feel now. I was there for only 1 1/2 days and they were like so easy to talk to and play around with, i miss them already.

I hope this year they'll be another mission trip and it'll be back to Malacca

Anyway, have you ever wondered how far one would go to meet their fav band/artist? Wonder if anyone has like slammed a band so hard on the net they liked so that band will take notice and think that she is like trying to badmouth the band and bring them down and they'll take her to court. Then in a sense she'll get to meet her fav band in a twisted way.

SO CLOSE YET SO FAR

Everyone has experienced this irritating feeling before. Just in a few days, i've gone through 3 events that made me think of this phrase. Don't wanna go into detail but the feeling sucks.

Anyway, i'm pretty much thrilled that Les Thespians office is gonna be just a street away from mine. I can totally imagine just walking less tha 5 mins out of the house to the store now that the time factor is gone cause it was and still is but soon ain't gonna be was at Commonwealth. So freaking far!

I hope i can help out more often but this year is an important year, so i have to manage time properly. Once this year is over, it's gonna be so freaking exciting!

Then this coming March i've to quit drums :( TEMPORARILY. It's freaking sad, considering me and Julia learnt from the same school for close to 3 years already. I think Zuhar taught us for 1 year then Rafi took over. After O Levels when we resume our drum lesson, if i don't get Rafi i think i'm gonna kill myself. He's really good at drumming plus he plays at Timber pretty often. I wanna check out that place soon.

Omg. I'm totally ignoring my blog. Sec 4 life is super hectic. I shall just recall what i did from last Sat.

Did a little basketball percussion. No matter how many times we did it, the beat was still a little off here and there :( Had quite a bit of new people coming in. Another Audrey in the squad now. She's cool cause she was the first one i talked to. The only not so good thing is that she's an avid fan of Jonas Brothers too. Sigh. Rachel's gonna start to mob her every week and scream JB in my face.

Then at drums, i think it was the most hilarious lesson we ever had with Rafi. We were learning Paramore's That's what You Get. The song plays around with 3/4 and 4/4 timing. Pretty tough, we just laughed at stupid stuff and esp Rafi's new drum set. His toms seriously sound like some African drums thing. So hilarious each time Julia tries to play a fill-in.

Had my first Chem tuition. I cannot wait for my Chem results to get better and not just a pathetic borderline pass

Sec 1s and 3s had their first house practice tryouts. Omg, got a few sec 1s and 3s potential high jumpers. They can jump really well!

1. Wow, Heath really won an award. He totally broke a record. Who gets an award when they're dead man? One answer: Heath. And when someone was receiving an award on behalf of Heath, everyone stood up man! WOW. He's really amazing as the joker!
2. Just saw Johnny Depp present an award. For some reason, he seemed really fidgity and nervous not that he was stuttering. And his accent is really mixed up with all sorts. I still can hear traces of Jack Sparrow in there and maybe a lil Sweeney Todd. Too much acting killed his original accent i guess.

Frankly speaking, i was really shocked/surprised/taken aback when i saw it. I was like thinking 'OMG IS THIS REAL?/IS THERE A MISTAKE?' Seriously, i wasn't even sure if i could secure an A2, let alone an A1. I was really afraid it was some kinda sick joke, kept on staring at my paper, checking the name, all my details again and again to see if there was some mistake.

Anyway, on Sat went to NYC and had loads of fun! I think at this rate we're training, i'm gonna get some serious muscles.
Then went to Lim Chu Kang area cause my father was being so random and wanted to buy goat's milk. Went into this place called Farmart something. The animals there are super cute! And went to a random fish place where they sell so many types of kois and fishes.

Yay! I'm quite happy i'm part of the Lee House committee 09. But actually, all i want is CCA points. I really hope i'm able to hit 25 above, i'm still at 19. Now that i'm part of the committee, i really do hope Lee gets something this year. Seriously, Lee has been damn loser all the way, cliching nothing, biting the dust time after time after every sports meet. I'm gonna wake all the Lee house members up so that we can get something. Kinda ironic because all the time when i'm just a spectator, like how lane puts it, i just shut my mouth and stare at the people trying to get the house up and going but whatever.

I'm so pissed right now i need to vent my frustrations. This is like a complain post to make myself not so pissed kinda thing so i suggest you don't read this because i'm most probably gonna delete this post when i cooled down.

This post is 'dedicated' to my current drama trainer and the teachers in my cca

Trainer:

I really don't believe it man, you said you'll consider me after my damn nice friend told you about my case. After today, i only have 1 word for you : BULLSHIT. I know that when you meant consider you already have made up your mind which means a no. You did no nothing about it. It's so unfair, not that i'm being a sore loser just cause i didn't make it through but the auditions for the rest of the ppl were so different from mine. They had a day to memorise the script and immediately audtition no more than a min after reading the script. But for me, you gave me an hour to memorise the script which i won't say is too little, but after i was ready you made me join the rest do some dance crap which i didn't even know wtf was happening and easily close to an hour after you totally screwed up the lines in my brain, you finally decide to audition me. Like wtf man.

You told my other friend nothing is comfirmed yet but today, you just got rid of all those not directly involved in the script and just worked with those who were casted. What happened to the 'confirmed' thing?

Teachers:

I'm speechless at the way you all handle the club. You know it's the last SYF for the Sec 4s, yet so many Sec 2s were thrown into the cast when they have another SYF to go. Haven't you ever considered that it's not that we don't wanna go for the holiday sessions or for the audition? It's because WE CAN'T! Why can't you understand that fact and try to be as fair to everyone as possible? Not everyone stays in Singapore for the hols you know? I know i should get over the fact that you didn't get G to be our SYF trainer, but it's just so insane, it's like throwing away a Gold for SYF. If Chev can even tell that he's the best trainer ever we ever had in our cca, why can't you all as grown ups see it? And when the principal thought that White Horses was so good with the effects and smoke machine, you became nice and went to thank him while before that, you show that you don't even like him. So 2 face, it's so gross.

I'm not saying you should throw out the lower sec cast members and throw us Sec 4s in, but at least let us be more involved in SYF. We already experienced SYF once so at least we know what it's like and will roughly know how to handle stuff.
I just can't understand the way you think. You're so biased towards those musical cast members and i know you dislike the 4 of us, so i felt it was pointless telling what i just wrote here which is what i really wanted to tell you. I give no shit cause i know there's no way you will read this and i don't really plan for you to read this so whatevs

report card

I'm quite happy that the Arts industry in Singapore is getting bigger and more noticed.

Anyway, got back our report books today. Sigh. I really have nothing to say. I wished i got to take part in Pierrot and the opening for the Arts festival but i was away in Japan. Not that i'm saying it the Japan trip sucked, but if only i was able to take part in them, only then will my report card or file look nicer. It hit me hard i must say, worst than normal school acad report books.

The only reason i can think of that why i'm more affected by this nyds report than school is because not only can this file be the start of my portfolio for my future, is it what i really want to do when i grow up. No bullshit working behind the desk for 7-8 hrs or more each day, a whole cycle that's so boring, wake up, go to work, come home, sleep. It's such a boring cycle i really don't know how some people can just live by it and not want more than just that 'stable' job.

I have so many commitments i wish i could just drop everythin except drums and nyds. I need to quickly complete piano and get rid of it, somehow get good grades this whole year. Actually, i don't think i have that many. Somehow, i just can't seem to have enough time for everything. It's so unfair that for my case, i need to put in so much more effort for good results than compared to others and that alone is eating all my time.

Then main reason why i really love nyds is because it's not only the place where people from different schools, backgrounds come together for the same purpose/motive. We all share the same passion : DRAMA. The feeling of being surrounded by people with the same passion, working and learning together to reach our ultimate goal -- to stand out amongst the crowd of Singaporeans when it comes to the Arts. Every Sat, we go to nyds and come out even more enriched than the previous day. Fencing, combat, acting, vocals, german, japanese, dancing etc, so much we learn. It's gonna be a year since i've joined nyds in May. So much i've learned, so much more to learn. It's so rare to get such an opportunity and i can't thank G and Yan more. It's a 费比墨说能形容的感觉。

The only barrier between me stepping up for nyds and being more involved in stuff is results. Why can't life be easier? Maybe only because challenges make people tougher and stronger each time. This year is gonna be so awesome for nyds, so many opportunities, so many projects. It's so frustrating that this year so happened to be the big year for me and it's all a case of extremely bad bad bad timing that gets me so frustrated just thinking about it. I want this badly, just that there's no way for me to physically show it because of that fat ass barrier in between.

Shit, i'm rattling so much. When there's nothing much for me to do on the com, listening to blg songs and typing really makes me think alot more than just normal narrations. I love my blog.

31/12/08 countdown party

The ending of 2008 was really fun for me. Didn't celebrate the new year with so much fun before. All the pictures are on facebook cause i didn't bring my cam so it's just narration for the sake of some journal memory thing.

Went to Vivo to meet NYDS people and Beatrice! It's been so long since i saw her. Walked around, the rest took so long to come. Original meeting time: 1230. Time all of them arrived: 2 plus. So much for time management huh.

Walked around, went to Banquet cause Dyan was dying from hunger. Initially, they planned to go catch a movie but because the rest took so long to arrive, they decided to head to Sentosa. Was going down to Seth's place for the gathering later so i thought i should go home first. Said goodbye and was walking towards the MRT station and i just changed my mind. I had to go to Sentosa with them so ran to the monorail area to meet them again, looking like a complete idiot who couldn't make up her mind, went to Sentosa till 6 plus.

Met Britt at Serangoon and made Cedric and Jeremy fetch us from there. Lol. We watched like 3 movies throughout the whole night/morning.

again. It's so funny and so super vulgar. Love simple jack and the crazy small kid who stabbed Ben Stiller aka Tugg Speedman towards the end

Not very scary. Only shocking. I like watching horror movies with like a bunch of people i know and not cinema style. Like just sitting around the living room, bunch of ppl on sofa, some of the floor. It's fun

After that came
I think it's an awesome show. Dunno who was that ass who told me it sucked. It's quite cool just that i really don't get all that counting. And btw, Han Siang, that main guy somehow reminds me of you for some reason i dunno.

Slept for about 2-3 hrs, went for breakfast, headed home, bathe/eat/ended up sleeping on the dining table/went out for dinner/prepared for school. Whatevs.

Australia's a really nice movie. The duration of 3 hours might put others off the idea of watching it but i'm quite a fan of movies that are long cause i feel that only that way can a plot be developed properly.

Australia's plot is quite good i must say. Just when you think it's gonna end, when the climax is finally over, it starts all over again. It's like you're on some rollercoaster, filled with emotions. The scenery in the movie's good as well. And this movie somehow reminds me of To Kill A Mockingbird, that lit book im using now. There's like discrimination against the Blacks and it's like mixed children are not welcomed anywhere, exactly like in the books. In Mockingbird, only a few people accept them like Dolphus Raymond and in the movie, it's like only a few minor characters, Huge Jackman's and Nicole Kidman's character accepts them and not ostracize them.

Just go watch it, it's good stuff. I'm gonna watch it again! definitely

Debbie was bored one day and she decided to do a made up situational writing to her friend RACHEL WAN to help her realise how weird J is in a bad way base on true facts.

Dear Rachel,

How are you doing in the Philippines? We all know you want to be back in Singapore and you will be going for the next NYDS session so relax on the writing on all our walls especially Yan to tell us how badly you wanna be in Singapore now.

Anyway, my main purpose of writing this letter was out of concern because you are crazy over this group _________ and one of them is especially weird. The one called J. I shall elaborate more to let you realise how bad a case his is.

You know how people always ask others for opinion on their clothes they wear before stepping out of their house? I'm pretty sure alot of people do that. They either ask for people's opinion or stare at themselves in the clothes in front of a full length mirror and feel satisfied before leaving the house. But did you know J is so different in a sense that he doesn't ask anyone or stare at the mirror all the time? Instead, he has this mannequin with his exact same proportions and he wears the clothes that he's planning to wear out of the house the next day on that mannequin an adjusts appropriately on the mannequin itself.

There, evidence that he's really weird. I hope that this letter i have wrote to you has made you realise something . Have fun and take care where ever you are. Looking forward to this coming Saturday at NYC.
